Tarkan Talk on Turkish TV

By Adelind Osmanlı reporting from Munich, Germany

Screencap of news reportThere has been talk of Tarkan on Turkish TV recently, with female singer-songwriter Yıldız Tilbe mentioning the famous Turkish pop star on another TV show again in regard to their collaborations together.

In response to a question about whether any celebrities had inspired her to write love songs, Tilbe replied that her 1994 song "Kış Güneşi" (Winter Sun), for Tarkan's second album A-acayipsin, was written for Tarkan and his relationship with Jülyet Dilge - generally known in the press as Tarkan's first lover after finding fame.

Meanwhile, model, image-maker and PR consultant - and a celebrity herself - Şenay Akay has mentioned the singer as a prime example of the best in the entertainment industry on a talk show.

Senay Akay talking about Tarkan on Turkish TVDescribing him as Turkey's most professional celebrity for the way he handles criticism directed towards him, she stressed, however, that it was important to have a good PR team.

She went on to say that, "being a star, being successful, working with the right people to represent the work you do in the best way possible is really a difficult thing to manage.

"Everyone is criticised at some point, but Tarkan handles it better than most."
