Turkey Goes Mad for Tarkan
A Twitter account from Turkey reveals the mad rush music store D&R is experiencing for Tarkan's album.
As news comes that Tarkan's album has sold over 150,000 copies in its first 48 hours of release, Olgu Can tweeting from the Turkish capital of Ankara has blogged about the mad dash he witnessed for Tarkan's 2010 album at the D&R store in Bilkent.
Musical Punch: Tarkan Does the One-Two
Tarkan's "Sevdanın Son Vuruşu" ("Love's Last Strike") hits the number one spot at Powerturk's charts, while Tarkan's "Adımı Kalbine Yaz" from the same titled 2010 album has entered straight in at number two on major music station Kral's radio chart.
Harbiye Demand for More Tarkan
And after Tarkan's smash hit two date show on 31 July and 1 August for his music company HITT's 6th annual open air summer gig at the Harbiye in Istanbul, online ticket company Biletix has confirmed more live performance dates for Tarkan at the venue due to high demand for tickets.
The site informs that in response to public demand, Tarkan is scheduled to appear at the Harbiye on 27-28 August.
