Tarkan Deluxe: Tarkan Bans Baby Guests

Following the news in the Turkish press that Tarkan is preparing to return to Turkey with his wife and daughter, after choosing to have their daughter born in Germany, comes the story that Tarkan has "banned" visitors and house guests from visiting the newborn.

The Turkish press claim Tarkan's ban is health-related. This tradition of "postnatal confinement" is common in Asia and China - where new mothers do not leave the house, have visitors or shower for a month after giving birth - because they believe that the mother and baby's immunity is very low.

Although this may seem harsh in cultures like Turkey, where family members are meant to be around to help after the birth, Tarkan is following the latest trend in not having guests right after having a baby.

Evidence suggests it allows time for the wife to heal and rest, and for both parents to bond with the baby, rather than adding to a stressful time by having to accommodate visitors.

The celebrity couple have been away in Germany for three months, as they chose Germany as their daughter's place of birth, instead of Turkey.

Both Tarkan and his wife were born in Germany.
