Tarkan's Happy 2019 Wishes
With the final hours of 2018 ticking away in the Western hemisphere, the singer has posted a video message on his social media accounts.
In the video, the youthful, vital looking 46 year-old sent his love and well wishes to his followers, hoping that 2019 would be an "awesome" year for them all.
He signed off in English, repeating the sentiments of "a happy new year" while sending his heartfelt love to his fans.
New Year's Eve is one of the most popular holidays in Turkey, falling on 31 December in the Gregorian calendar.
The New Year's Eve traditions in the country include a family dinner, a national lottery drawing and a countdown to midnight. A lot of the decorations resemble Christmas in Europe.

And the last news stories about Tarkan making the rounds in 2018 see the singer's baby news making it on to the top celebrity events of the year, while a news site in Ecuador reminds its readers about Tarkan.
First up however, is a Turkish nineties pop artist who has retorted to critics of his nineties tracks by reminding them of Tarkan's debut album - complaining that his questionable output is moaned about while Tarkan's work is overlooked.
Tarkan's first music label Istanbul Plak released his debut album Yine Sensiz (Without You Again) on audio cassette format on 24 December 1992. Its success saw it re-released on CD as an "Extended Mix" version in 1993. It included three "new versions" of orginal edits on the album.
Meanwhile, Teleamazonas has run a "Where are they now?" article on Tarkan, reminding its readers of the one-time hit singer of Latin America who fell off the continent's musical radar.
Teleamazonas is a television channel in Ecuador. Since the start of their transmissions, on February 22 of 1974, the channel is one of the major television networks of Ecuador.
Onedio describes it as a past "scandalous story from the press that will shock", adding that they wished Doğulu had kept his mouth shut. Nearly two decades after its release, Karma is now considered one of the best albums ever produced by Turkish pop music, including a bevy of hits that are now considered classics by Turkish critics.
Back to today, and Habertürk's media panel has added Tarkan's baby news into their top ten list of most talked about celeb events of 2018. The artist has been lauded for being a "great husband and father" by the celeb pundits.
Elsewhere, Hürriyet's media panel listed Tarkan becoming a dad at number ten of their top twelve celeb events of the year, and Onedio placed Tarkan's baby announcement and coupling as a 2018 top twenty trending event - although not every columnist agrees.
Tarkan's surprise sign-up with drinks giant Coca-Cola sees a celebrity news portal reveal that popstress Hadise has signed up with a big name brand, too, which is currently being kept under wraps, while other stories say Tarkan is "staying slim" by eating diet crackers in his luxury car during Istanbul's heavy traffic.

The most eye-raising gifts, however, were reportedly three gold dummies said to be valued between 1,500-3000 TL ($300-$600) bought by celeb friends Ajda Pekkan, Sibel Can and Gülşen.
