Press Snippets: Talking Tarkan
Paper Takvim has run the story that music producer Ozan Doğulu - who has worked with Tarkan on the 2001 hit single "Hüp" and the 2008 re-issue of the megastar's Metamorfoz - is set to release his own solo album.
Tarkan will be appearing on the album, Takvim writes.
Meanwhile, as Fashion TV's website in Turkey prints the news given previously by paper Sabah that Tarkan is set to come back renewed with his latest album, regional news portal Gazetevan claims that Tarkan is preparing for his 2010 album in Los Angeles.
The article says that Tarkan's new album will be named "Patlıyorum", a rumour that has been circulating the media since 2009.
"Tarkan is getting ready for the release of his latest album in the city of Los Angeles. He's coming back better than ever before with a new hair style and a new album," the article proclaims.
In Other Reports
As the tweets of singer/producer Mustafa Ceceli and long-time Tarkan producer Ozan Çolakoğlu reveal that the final mixes for Tarkan's 2010 album were set for completion today, a report in paper Sabah with female pop singer Demet Akalın sees her boast that she, Hande Yener and Tarkan are playing on the beaches in Bodrum, indicating that the trio will rule this year's Turkish summer charts.
Elsewhere, paper Vatan has reported about some gossip reports on Akalın's husband playing away with a male lover, with a photograph showing him in the arms of another man.
Akalın's husband has responded by saying he never goes on holiday without his newly-wedded wife, and that the photograph was taken by paparazzi as he was rocked into the arms of his male friend on board a boat.
On rumours of his bisexuality, "I was going over to the yacht where my wife was waiting for me ... I laugh at the accusations.
"If that were the case Tarkan or others should leave the country," he said, indicating the Turkish megastar's photographs on a beach with a male friend, which had caused a stir in Turkey in 2001 to fuel the rumours of the singer's homosexuality.
"I came to watch Tarkan," Boz said.
Known for his contradictory remarks on the Turkish megastar, Boz has been making favourable comments of late about the artist.
